Hi, I am John Lyon-Mia.

I am an internationally published photographer based in Lowestoft, UK, with over 15 years of professional experience. Initially specializing in portrait and wedding photography, I faced early retirement due to health challenges. However, I have since learned to manage my condition, allowing me to return to my passion for photography. While I no longer shoot weddings, I have discovered a new focus in dog photography.

Dogs are remarkable companions whose presence can significantly uplift our spirits during difficult times. Having been a lifelong dog owner, I spent much of my childhood attending dog shows with my parents, showcasing their award-winning Dobermans across the UK and Ireland. I cannot imagine life without my canine companions. I find joy in understanding each dog’s unique character and personality, and I believe they deserve to be cherished as beloved family members. Capturing their memories through photography allows us to hold onto those precious moments when time inevitably passes.
